Authorized for general release by University Communications, this is a letter from UVa Athletics addressing some of the challenges associated with the passes this year and the game this weekend.

Dear Lewis Mountain Neighbors,
We value our relationship with your neighborhood and apologize for the resident pass information going out late this year. As I'm sure many of you may know, recent events caused the delay. That being said, we will do what we need to make sure you receive your passes quickly and conveniently. We will also begin work to ensure that this process begins much earlier next year and with your input.
We will have staff located in a tent in front of Memorial Gym located at 210 Emmet St from 8:00am to 1:00pm this Saturday morning, September 2nd, before the UVA-William & Mary football game so that you can come by to pick up your passes. If you wish, we will also continue hand delivering them to your addresses. Just let us know your preference.

We have also informed police enforcement that there may be some residents who have not received their passes yet for the season. Residents may show documentation to be able to access their street if they do not have a pass.
We know we have work to do to improve this process and look forward to collaborating with you over the coming year to do so.
Thank you for your patience, partnership and understanding.
Sincerely,
UVA Athletics
