Over the past few months, we have discussed the need for DPVA to provide more training opportunities for Chairs of local committees. Many of you are new, just starting your terms as COVID-19 disrupted our lives and we are now faced with our 'new' normal. DPVA has been answering the call, and I hope we will be holding regular training on topics of interest to Chairs

Earlier this week, some of you joined a great training organized by Gaylene and the National Democratic Training Committee(NDTC) focused on running virtual meetings. Our VADC leadership (myself + your four regional vice chairs) have also been thinking about what may useful for Chairs.

For our first VADC Training next Tuesday, Apr 28 at 6:00PM, we are fortunate to be joined by DPVA Digital Director Nick Scott to provide a training and advice on boosting your Committee's digital presence through Facebook and Twitter. This is meant to be a 101 Training, but you will have an opportunity to ask questions and hopefully start a conversation about pursuing additional training depending on the level of interest.
